Gottlieb 1966 Hurdy Gurdy Pinball Machine

I bought this a few years ago on ebay.with the understanding that it was the Italian version. I think that it is just a regular Hurdy Gurdy that has been altered and has an Italian backglass. The wires to the bulbs behind the numbers in the backglass were cut and extended in an attempt to line them up with the numbers on the Italian backglass. One of the pics show this. The cabinet and the head have been repainted. The backglass and the playfield look decent. All the plastics are there and none are broken.The monkey is broken and is taped together, Pinball Resource sells replacements. The monkey rings the bell but is sluggish and doesn't always return to its starting position. When you lose a ball the machine doesn't subtract it until you put the next ball in play. The machine does not work as it should. This is going to need work. This is definitely a project for someone with the time and knowledge, or maybe it is going to be just a parts machine. I know that with this machine being altered and not correctly or fully working it will not bring top dollar, but it is too good to junk. I am downsizing my collection to only a few machines that I like and that work good. This is not one of them.and it has to go. I am selling this with no reserve and will let the market determine its value.Pick up only.
